My name is Dr. Eskendr Tadesse. I have served as a director of the Ethiopia Full Gospel Theological Seminary for the last 18 years. I am a member of the Ethiopia Full Gospel Believers Church, Kotebe local church. I am serving in the capacity of a general secretary of the council of leaders in the church. I am a married man and father of two children. I have known Adiamseged since 15 years ago and I know that he has been deeply involved in the writing ministry all these years. I have seen some of his writings. They are all useful because they don’t go into complicated theological issues or complicated interpretations. I like them because they present the kind of basic teachings that most Ethiopians can read and apply in their lives. Moreover, they don’t deviate from sound doctrine and theology. However, I don’t think many people are taking advantage of this ministry and the teachings through the books. These books are timely considering the current doctrinal challenges the Ethiopian church is confronting. Brother Adiamseged has devoted his full time to writing and he needs a lot of support. He has written many books which can keep the church going within the right track. His books on the Old Testament, the New Testament and various topics from the Bible are written very well. They are written in a way that any individual can read and easily understand them. It would be good if many people could get hold of these books and take advantage of them. Our seminaries are found throughout the country; we have over 70 theological schools with two campuses in here. We try to reach all people with these schools. We have students drawn from various churches and denominations as well as from the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo church, Amanuel Church and many students who are involved in the reformation. There are students in our seminary from the Mekaneyesus Church, from Hiwot Berhan, from Genet Church, from Meserete Kiristos, and from Full Gospel Believers Church. As I said earlier, our seminary is sufficiently represented in every regional state of the country. Therefore, we have students from Harar, Jijiga, Benishangul, Welega, from the Orthodox and the Catholic churches. We offer training programs from certificate all the way to PhD. So, our brother Adiam’s books can be distributed to all these regions and levels of training. It would also be very good if we support his ministry in various ways. For example, we may support him by publishing the books, by purchasing and reading them. As I said earlier, these books are of great value in Ethiopia because Ethiopians are in Ethiopia. Of course there are many Ethiopians outside Ethiopia and they too can use these books. However, the books can be of greater value in Ethiopia. Books are often published but they are based merely on someone’s thoughts and therefore of very little value to the reader. However, Brother Adiam Seged’s books, without going into complicated issues, touch upon sound doctrine and are beneficial to the church in Ethiopia. Therefore, it would be good to publish them in Ethiopia for Ethiopians to read them. Currently, we are facing a severe shortage of sound doctrine and not many people are reading the Bible. Besides, not many people know the Bible very well. As a result, teachings that are not from the Bible and contrary to sound doctrine are coming from our pulpits. Adiamseged’s books can greatly help in dealing with these problems. Therefore, they should be published in greater number of copies for distribution throughout the churches of Ethiopia. Thank you.
